The Hardcore Comedy Tour

Even local comic Andrew Pucella is psyched to catch wrestler Mick Foley’s 30-minute set during tonight’s Hardcore Comedy Tour stop at the Grog Shop. No surprise that the hulking, hairy Foley is a former WWE superstar. What’s more surprising is to learn that he’s a philanthropist, a children’s book author, and a nascent standup comic. “In the ring, you never get to hear him say more than a few words,” marvels Pucella. “It’s going to be something to hear him talk for a half hour!” Along with DJ Rocco Russo, who starts spinning at 7 p.m., Pucella is host of tonight’s doings. The headliner is the sharp-tongued, X-rated Rev. Bob Levy, an eight-year veteran of The Howard Stern Show. Also on the card: sets from Pucella and fellow Cleveland comic Maria Borgio. “It should be an interesting crowd,” chuckles Pucella. “Wrestling fans, comedy fans, and folks who don’t mind raw humor…” Consider yourself warned.
