The Green Berets

John Wayne stars as a U.S. Special Forces Colonel in The Green Berets, a 1970 film about the Vietnam War. Wayne's stand against the Vietcong makes a believer out of a cynical war reporter, suggesting the film's political agenda. Tonight at 9, the Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque shows a 35mm color and scope print of the movie as part of its the Republicans are Coming series. Tickets are $10. (Niesel)
