The Air War in the Museum: The Bombing of Dresden as History and Spectacle

The 1945 bombing of Dresden, a German baroque city, represents one of World War II's most notorious incidents. Today at 4:30 p.m., in Clark Hall's Room 206 on the Case Western Reserve University's campus, associate professor of German, Susanne Vees-Gulani, will discuss how the bombing is represented in two new exhibition spaces in the Military History Museum of the German Armed Forces, and the implications for a new, possibly troubling, German nationalism.
