Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

For most, the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure is about honor their loved ones who have beaten or succumbed to breast cancer. But this year, the race takes a powerful viewpoint on breast cancer prevention. Recently, Susan G. Komen Foundation published some alarming statistics, including the fact the female Ohioans rank 32nd in cancer incidence and 4th in mortality. Join others who have been effected by the disease at the single, largest fundraiser for the quest to end breast cancer. Pre-registration may be acquired on the website, but race-day registration is also an option. Events for the day begin at 7 a.m., with a ceremony honoring survivors at 8 a.m. A 5K race will take place at 9:15 a.m., followed by a 1-mile walk at 9:45 a.m. For more information and registration, please see website.
