The Streetsboro Heritage Foundation group will be organizing the first annual Heritage Clambake benefit event today. The Heritage Foundation is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) group organized to solicit membership and tax-deductible donations for the restoration, preservation, and maintenance of the Col. John Singletary home, the oldest frame structure in the City of Streetsboro. The event will use a portion of the Walmart parking lot, shutting down part of Singletary Drive. There will be a corn hole tournament, a campfire, music from Audio Extremes, a cash bar from Great Lakes and an acoustic performance from the Thrive group.an An executive chef will do the traditional clambake along. Proceeds from raffle ticket sales will go to the Heritage Foundation group and the Singletary Museum. Live Nation, Lowes, Ganley Ford Aurora, Keybank, Blue Canyon Grill, The Cleveland Agora, Jim's Open Kitchen, Chuggers Bar & Grill, Thrive music group, WynoView video, and Happy Moose have all kicked in prize packs/gift cards. In addition, Frito Lay, Giant Eagle, Pepsi Cola, House of LaRose, Coca-Cola and Great Lakes Brewery are also supporting the event through donations.
