Straight Outta Chicago

A big part of the Chicago comedy scene, Liza Treyger was recently chosen by Comedy Central for its prestigious “Comics to Watch” showcase. She prefers making the audience laugh without using self-deprecating humor and uses humor to make her embarrassing, stressful moments relatable. Comedian Matteo Lane also has Chicago ties as he is originally from there and has performed with Treyger before on numerous occassions. He’s performed on Comedy Central and features on MTV’s GirlCode, GuyCode, and Joking Off. Joan Rivers and Ellen DeGeneres have influenced his material. His jokes include reflections on relationships, sex and his love of Maria Callas. Both Treyger and Lane perform at Hilarities Comedy Club tonight at 8 p.m. and they have shows scheduled through Saturday. Tickets are $23. (Manno)
