Stephen L. Carter

Stephen L. Carter is a prolific writer who has published eight critically acclaimed nonfiction books and five works of fiction, including The Emperor of Ocean Park, a 2003 Anisfield-Wolf Book Award winner. His latest novel, The Impeachment of Abraham Lincoln, explores what might have happened had Abraham Lincoln survived assassination and gone on to be impeached. He is currently the William Nelson Cromwell Professor of Law at Yale.
