In a performance collaboration between labels Alloy-X and Long Division Recordings, six Cleveland artists come together tonight. Long Division representatives Freeze-Tag and Corey Grand tend to lean on the mellower side of the beat, laying on the subtle intricacies and slight changes that make their music unique urban dreamscapes. Freeze-Tag, whose upcoming record Last Night I Grew Tentacles captures a unique spirit that lies somewhere between psychedelic rock and electronica. Alloy-X artists Smoke Noises and Alloy-X co-founder Urbindex bring a slightly harder edge, with upfront beats and intense flow. Smoke Noises self-titled debut record came out last year with great artistic success and featured Urbindex on some of the record’s production. (Patrick Stoops)
