One of the East Side’s most strollable neighborhoods, Larchmere Boulevard is home to more than 40 indie shops and businesses peddling an ever-intriguing inventory of art, antiques, books, jewelry, oriental rugs, clothing, and more. Today, many of them will be taking it outside — for the annual sidewalk sale, of course. Besides the local businesses, expect a variety of crafters, vendors, and flea-market regulars hawking their wares. Also rolling into the ‘hood for the occasion: several food trucks offering crêpes, cupcakes, and assorted sweets. “Larchmere is a small, thriving neighborhood that’s been around since the 1920s,” says Marc Goodman, owner of Marc Goodman’s Antique Mall. “The sidewalk sale is a great way to discover us — and get some bargains, too.” Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Find the sale on Larchmere Blvd. between East 120th and North Moreland.
