Sexual Healing

“Rarely has the zone between girlhood and womanhood been captured with such urgent honesty,” wrote the L.A. Times about the sexual coming-of-age story It Felt Like Love, screening tonight (and tonight only!) at the Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque at 8:10. The film charts the sexual ambition of a lonely 14-year-old girl, who sets her sights on a promiscuous college dude. It’s a debut feature film from a young director and is a (regrettably) rare coming-of-age tale from the female perspective. If you’re on the east side tonight, and you’ve got $9 to spend, don’t miss this one. (Sam Allard)
