Robin Nolan Trio

Inspired by the legendary guitarist Django Reinhardt, the Robin Nolan Trio dabbles in what they call “gypsy jazz” — an all-acoustic blend of old-world musical ideas and more contemporary expression. Nolan’s style often involves arpeggiated lead work against hyperactive percussion, creating a very worldly atmosphere. (His instrumental work seems capable of actually transporting listeners elsewhere.) With Nighttown’s excellent stage as the backdrop, Nolan’s music is sure to come alive here in Cleveland. (Sandy)
