Reverse the Curse CD Release/Signals Midwest/Annabel/Nomads

A terrific Hiram-based punk band, Reverse the Curse took ten years to issue its 2011 debut, Hither and Yon. Thankfully, the follow-up hasn’t taken that long. Even though the group is technically not local, it plays Cleveland often enough that it’s booked a show at the Grog Shop to celebrate the release of its second full-length Existent. Songs such as “Deliverance” and “Spector” feature melodic harmonies and soft vocals. The songs don’t exactly qualify as punk, yet they reflect the band’s maturity, and the music has so much texture, it sounds more like Radiohead than Hot Water Music. This is good, heady stuff.
