Reverse the Curse

At the beginning of the season, few would have predicted the Cleveland Indians would have a better shot at making the playoffs that the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. After all, the Angels had two of baseball’s biggest sluggers in Josh Hamilton and Albert Pujols. But Hamilton has had a so-so season and Pujols recently landed on the disabled list. Still, the Halos have great pitching so this series against the Tribe should be a good one. The first 10,000 fans who show up for tonight’s game will receive a Rocky Colavito Replica Hall of Fame Plaque. The plaque honors Colavito, one of the Tribe’s most notorious sluggers, and, according to sportswriter Terry Pluto, the source of the curse that keeps the team from winning a championship. Be sure to stick around for fireworks after the game. The game begins at 7:05 p.m. and tickets start at $10. (Jeff Niesel)
