Last year, a Cavs versus Pacers matchup meant you’d get to watch one of the most feared teams in the Eastern Conference go head to head with one of the most depressing. This year, a Cavs versus Pacers matchup means precisely the same thing, except the roles are reversed. After the loss of Paul George to a disastrous leg injury over the off-season and the fluttering away to Charlotte of Lance Stephenson, the Pacers look like a classic Cavs’ D-league squad, including former Cavaliers C.J. Miles and Donald Sloan. As of last weekend, the Pacers actually had won four of their last five games and were only two games behind the Cavs in conference standings. But tonight they shall be put in their rightful place. The sabres will ignite at 7:30 at the Q, and if you can’t make the game, there’s another exciting divisional matchup on Tuesday, when the Cavs take on Jabari Parker and the Milwaukee Bucks at 7 p.m. (Allard)
