Race for Kids & Wellness Festival

When you were a kid, were you ever told not to run when you visited the zoo? How could you not when the park houses such an interesting array of exotic animals? If you’re harboring any kind of resentment from such an experience, the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland Metroparks Zoo and the Boys & Girls Club of Cleveland are teaming to bring your suppressed childhood dream to life. Runners will get the chance to participate in either a 5K run or 1 mile walk/fun run and will be treated to a Wellness Festival afterwards to include arts and crafts, live music, and raffle prizes. Pre-race registration begins at 7:30 a.m. Tickets to run the 5K are $25 per person and include admission to the zoo. (Jacob DeSmit)
