Premieres Aplenty

To honor the 85th anniversary of Martha Graham’s famous dance piece Lamentation, which she premiered in 1930, Verb Ballets will premiere three new works, including Lamentation Variations, a modern take on Graham’s original work. Verb Ballets has commissioned three distinctive variations on this American masterpiece by national choreographers Antonio Brown, Chung-Fu Chang and Ginger Thatcher. The performance takes place at 8 tonight at the Breen Center. Tickets start at $23. A party takes place immediately after the performance; mix and mingle with directors, dancers and pianist, Zsolt Bognár.
