Using MOCA Cleveland’s current exhibition, Stranger, as a backdrop, Dr. Kevin LaGrandeur will discuss concepts of “Post-Humanism” during his Points of View lecture at MOCA Cleveland tonight at 7. With the influx of major innovations in the early 21st century, technology has been increasingly more intertwined with our daily lives. Dr. LaGrandeur asks, “Are we now in a post-human time? How is being ‘human’ different today than 50, or even 25 years ago?” Dr. LaGrandeur is a Professor and Director of Technical Writing Programs at the New York Institute of Technology and a Fellow of the Institute for Ethics and Emerging Technology. This event is free with museum admission. Stranger and the rest of MOCA Cleveland’s Winter/Spring 2016 exhibitions remain on view through May 8. (Usmani)
