Perspectives: The Art of Seth Chwast

Perspectives: The Art of Seth Chwast and Portraits of Seth Chwast by Herbert Ascherman includes a total of nearly 80 works. The exhibition was conceived to help raise awareness for the abilities of individuals diagnosed with Autism and other developmental differences. Seth Chwast is an emerging artist who is gaining internationally recognition, and also happens to have autism. Each of Chwast’s paintings is paired with a 35mm black and white silver gelatin portrait by Ascherman. These photos help offer insight into the mind and creative process of the artist. Perspectives opens with a reception from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight and remains on view through Saturday, May 7. Free. (Usmani)
