Opera Circle Cleveland returns to PlayhouseSquare with its full-scale production of The Troubadour (Il trovatore) by Giuseppe Verdi, one of the most beloved operas of all time. Hear the famous Anvil Chorus and see the beautifully restored lobby of The Ohio Theatre. Follow the passionate, tragic love of the noble Leonora and the troubadour Manrico thwarted by jealous Count di Luna. A quintessential part of the opera canon, this masterpiece will be fully staged, with soloists, chorus, sets, costumes, English text projected, and the Orchestra of Opera Circle under the baton of Joel Smirnoff.
