Opening Reception - Todd R. Forsgren: Ornithological Photographs

Todd R. Forsgren’s Ornithological Photographs (2006-2014) portray birds that have been temporary captured for scientific research. Biologists use nets to safely catch birds in order to collect valuable conservation data. Working alongside the biologists, Forsgren creates images that reference John James Audubon and Roger Tory Peterson while celebrating the complexity of contemporary science.
