Once Again

Did you see the 2009 musical film Once, starring Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova as the Dublin lovers who record a scrappy studio album about the angst of breaking up and falling in love and all that beautiful stuff? God, it was great. Its signature song, “Falling Slowly” even took home an Oscar (in a two-pronged speech in which Irglova came back out after the commercial break to get her say — so presh). Anyway, it’s become a Broadway musical sensation (winner of eight 2012 Tony Awards) and it opens tonight at 7:30 at the Palace Theatre for a two-week run. (Allard)
