At this time last year, things were looking up for local rapper Nyland the ODS (who was born Nyland Coughlin Jr.). He had just released his third mixtape, he was working on his debut album and he was heading to Rhode Island for an X Factor audition. But as much as Nyland, who has a unique rapid-fire delivery that he shows off on a song like “Bad Seed,” was on the verge of breaking big, Nyland, who achieved regional fame in the early 2000s with local hip-hop sensations Real Industry Assassins, has decided this show will be his last and he promises to play “all the hits”; he says “special invited friends” will be in attendance, too.
