Notes on an Appearance, director Ricky D'Ambrose's debut film, centers on a young man who mysteriously disappears after starting his research for a biography he plans to write about a sinister social theorist. The movie makes its Cleveland debut tonight at 6:45 at the Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque. Tickets cost $10, or $7 for Cinematheque members and students. (Niesel)
