My Morning Jacket has built a reputation as a group who consistently challenges the paradigms in which they are placed. Known for their broad palette of sounds and styles the band has also earned the reputation of one of the best live acts today. My Morning Jacket formed at the tail-end of the 1990s in Louisville, KY, when Jim James’ group Month Of Sundays folded, and he began recording new songs with ex-members of local rockers Winter Death Club.
