Moonlight Sonata

Moonlight Sonata, a deeply personal memoir about a deaf boy, his deaf grandfather, and Ludwig van Beethoven in the year he was struck by deafness and wrote his iconic sonata, screens tonight at 7:30 at the Capitol Theatre as part of the Cleveland Cinemas Fall Doc series. Director Irene Taylor Brodsky focuses on her deaf parents and her 11-year-old deaf son, who has cochlear implants and hears for the first time. There will be a post-film discussion hosted by the Cleveland Hearing and Speech Center. Regular admission rates apply. (Niesel)
