A splash at Sundance, the documentary film Matangi/Maya/M.I.A. chronicles the life and times of pop star M.I.A., a refugee immigrant who rose to fame after moving to London and learned to blend "Tamil politics, art school punk, hip-hop beats and the unwavering, ultra-confident voice of a burgeoning multicultural youth." It screens tonight at 7:30 at the Capitol Theatre. Tickets are $9.75. (Niesel)
