Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Concert

Prominent Black composers such as Dolores White, Mary D. Watkins, Carlos Simon, Brian Raphael Nabors, William Grant Still and Samuel Coleridge-Taylor will be featured in this program that concludes with James Weldon Johnson and J. Rosamond Johnson’s hymn “Lift Every Voice and Sing.” The concert begins at 7 p.m. at Severance Music Center. Admission is free but tickets must be obtained in advance.
