Ibsen’s 1870s classic reshaped through a 1937 adaptation by American master Thornton Wilder takes audiences on a suspenseful ride to the edge of a gaping precipice of personal discovery that has a potential gain so great, that even a mother’s love and a wife’s duty can be swayed to sacrifice.
