Lindsay Lou

The daughter of a literal coal-miner and millwright and the granddaughter of a teacher-turned-Rainbow-Gathering-healer, Lindsay Lou became a sensation in the bluegrass scene with the Flatbellys and then with the Michigan supergroup Sweet Water Warblers. On her new solo album, Queen of Time, she writes about a divorce and the loss of her grandmother as well as a hallucinogenic-induced spiritual journey. Her late grandmother even makes a special appearance on the album, with snippets from over 27 hours of recorded conversations between the two. Lou performs tonight at the Music Box Supper Club.
