Before heading over to WinterFest in Public Square this afternoon, stop by the Cleveland Public Library for a quick lesson in holiday baking. Join Clevelander Laura Taxel, best known for her books Cleveland's Ethic Eats and Cleveland's West Side Market: 100 Years and Still Cooking, for some stories and samples of delicious holiday treats. Taxel will speak at 2:30 p.m. today at the downtown library in the Louis Stokes Wing on the third floor. Attendees will have the chance to meet Taxel after her presentation and purchase autographed copies of her books. This event is free and open to everyone. (McConnell)
