Kero Kero Bonito/Negative Gemini

After the release of last year’s Time ‘n’ Place, the London-based bilingual art-pop band Kero Kero Bonita returned last month with the new EP Civilisation I. Written, produced and recorded in the bedroom of KKB’s Gus Lobban, the EP explores themes from religion to the apocalypse and features a shimmering mix of pop and jazz fusion in songs such as “The River,” a breezy track that features flinty synths and upper-register vocals.
