Kenny Endo Contemporary Taiko Ensemble 50th Anniversary Tour

Join Oberlin College Taiko to celebrate Taiko Master Kenny Endo's 50th Anniversary Tour! Endo is a world-renowned master of taiko, a powerful drumming with Japanese roots. Endo studied with San Francisco Taiko Dojo, the first kumi daiko (ensemble drumming) group outside of Japan. He is the first non-Japanese national to have received a stage name and license in classical Japanese drumming. Endo has performed with Hong Kong Philharmonic, the Honolulu Symphony, the Tokyo Symphony, Bobby McFerrin, opened for The Who, and is featured on film soundtracks including "Apocalypse Now" and "Avatar." Event is Free, doors open at 7:00pm.
