Karuna Duet @ Cuyahoga Valley National Park Concert Series

What began as a chance encounter between two 14-year-old aspiring percussionists in a downtown Chicago drum shop has taken Hamid Drake and Adam Rudolph around the world over decades of shared creative journeys -- including a European tour with Don Cherry and projects with Yusef Lateef, Pharaoh Sanders, Hassan Hakmoun, Hu: Vibrational and Adam Rudoph's Moving Pictures. Now, after 40 years of making music together, this is their first tour as a duet. Their new Karuna Duet brings the duo's unique and evolved rhythm languages to the fore and inspires through spirited dialogue.
