A journalist who became a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist for The Washington Post, Jose Antonio Vargas created a bit of controversy when he wrote an article for the New York Times in 2011 and admitted he was an undocumented immigrant. The founder of Define American, a non-profit devoted to furthering the discussion of immigration in the States, Vargas has written about a range of topics, including the popularity of video games and the AIDS epidemic. But given the current political climate (and the fact that immigration issues are back on the table during President Obama’s second term), you can bet that immigration will be the main topic for tonight’s talk.
