Jesse Dee’s latest album dropped to widespread acclaim — and rightfully so. The Boston-based soul singer strings together a series of love letters against a backdrop of funky melodies and upbeat rhythms that’ll have your toes tappin’ all the way to the Beachland Ballroom. Tunes like “No Matter Where I Am” are so incredibly infectious, it’s hard to believe Dee’s not a time traveler, sent to bestow the most genuine sounds from Motown’s heyday upon our otherwise-weary souls.
