Into the Woods

Equal parts Cinderella, Rapunzel, Little Red Riding Hood, and Jack and the Beanstalk, Into the Woods, a fractured fairytale by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Stephen Sondheim and Tony Award-winning director James Lapine, centers on the mayhem that ensues when the Dodgers (Jersey Boys, Matilda) team up with Networks (Phantom, War Horse, South Pacific) to present the acclaimed Fiasco Theater production that became New York’s surprise hit of this season. A hit on Broadway when it premiered in 1987, the musical opens tonight at 7:30 at Connor Palace, where it runs through Jan. 29. Tickets are $10 to $90. (Niesel)
