Iceage

A decade on from their debut, Copenhagen's Iceage continues to break new musical ground. Enlisting Sonic Boom (Pete Kember of Spacemen 3) to produce their latest effort, Seek Shelter, was a wise move. He's given the band a boost, and its songwriting songwriting embraces more conventional structures and the overall sound is more accessible. Seek Shelter is a collection of songs "radiating warmth and a profound desire for salvation in a world that’s spinning out of control," as it's put in a press release. The band brings its tour in support of the album to the Grog Shop tonight. The show starts at 8, and tickets cost $18.
