Hike the Gorge

Learn about the cultural and natural history of the Doan Brook Watershed by participating in a guided hike with archaeologist Dr. Roy Larik. Dr. Larick studies how humans interact with natural features and has directed around the world. He encourages more equitable living with the natural legacy of Lake Erie and the Portage Escarpment. Hikers will meet at Fairhill Partners and head into the watershed to uncover unique features of the Doan Brook. Each distinct hike will cover a variety of topics including geology, ecology, natural and cultural history.
