Guitar Hero

Singer-guitarist Phil Keaggy left the Youngstown-based trio Glass Harp in 1972 to launch a solo career in contemporary Christian music. While Glass Harp still reunites for the occasional gig, Keaggy, who drew the praise of none other than Jimi Hendrix back in the day, mostly performs as a solo act. He still has a strong fan base among fellow musicians who admire his abilities on the guitar. And he has a loyal Christian fan base. He headlines the Winter Sky tour that touches down tonight at 7 at Cuyahoga Falls High School. It’s billed as “an evening of astonishing Celtic & jazz influenced music.” Tickets are $20 to $40 on the website. (Niesel)
