Ghost Story

Award-winning author Christopher Barzak, a fiction professor in the Northeast Ohio MFA program at Youngstown State University, wrote a chilling debut novel called One for Sorrow, about the ghost of a murdered teen and his emergent friendship with a loner at his high school. The novel was adapted as a film (starring Shameless’ Cameron Monaghan and Liv Tyler) and was a hit at Sundance, where it premiered. It opens this weekend in Cleveland at the Capitol Theatre and Barzak will be in attendance for two showings: tonight 7:10 and Sunday at 4:10 p.m. He’ll do Q&As after the film. Learn more about Barzark in this week’s film section. (Allard)
