There’s no moment quite as stereotypically perfect as that of looking into a loved one’s eyes as when Peter Frampton sings “Baby, I Love Your Way.” Frampton was rocking the ’80s love ballad before the decade had even started and has stuck to that signature style all of these years. Last year, he released a six-song EP recorded with a number of other artists but recent set lists have stuck to the old classics such the ripping guitar workout “Do You Feel Like We Do” and the iconic talk box tune “Show Me The Way.” Five-time Grammy winner and blues guitarist Robert Cray will open the show with his own blend of upbeat blues/jazz. Cray embodies the short-lived blues revival in the ’80s lead by Stevie Ray Vaughan and continues that legacy today as a frequent guest at Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Festival. With this blues legend’s technical guitar solos and Frampton’s soaring vocals, couples should have no trouble finding something they like at this show. (William Hoffman)
