Experimental Soundscapes

Yeah Yeah Yeahs drummer Brian Chase and keyboardist Thollem McDonas are performing at Survival Kit Gallery tonight, bringing what they’ve dubbed “spontaneously unfolding linear landscapes of sonic terrain, forging extreme blues punk rock folk allusions with abstract maximalism.” Sounds like fun. Chase is an avid practitioner of Ashtanga yoga, which brings an almost transcendental flavor to his work. This performance is part of their larger Dub Narcotic tour, and local act Miralia-Moyer-Lull opens. The show starts at 8 p.m. and tickets are $8.
