Every Picture Tells a Story

In 2006, Angelo Merendino's wife Jennifer was diagnosed with breast cancer. Stunned by the news, Merendino wanted to document her final days so he started taking photos of her. Those stark black and white images have achieved international acclaim. The Observing and Reacting, a collection of photos Merendino, an Akron native, took while his wife walked the streets of New York, where they lived at the time, will be on display at the Cleveland Print Room. The exhibit's opening night party takes place from 5 until 9 tonight and Merendino will give a talk tomorrow afternoon at 1 at the gallery. (Niesel)
