Eddy Clearwater

Inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in 2016, Eddy "The Chief" Clearwater has a career that stretches back some 60 years. A proponet of Chicago blues, he also delivers soulful ballads and acoustic country blues. He and his backing band will often rip into mid-tempo jams that allow Clearwater, who often performs in a Native American headdress, to deliver intricate solos and improvise. He’s a remarkable player and, judging by recent YouTube clips, hasn’t lost a step. (Jeff Niesel)
