Even if it’s common for musicians to put their own spin on a particular style to create a homegrown sound, the term “abstract rock-a-billy” is guaranteed to turn a few curious heads. Akron Art Museum presents the latest of its Downtown@Dusk series tonight with an interesting blend of art and music as it features a set by locals Lost State of Franklin. The band’s unique take on the classic skiffle sound will come during a night that also includes art activities for kids and an art gallery talk about The Snowy Days and the Art of Ezra Jack Keats. The museum’s café will provide snacks and is open until 9 p.m. Admission to the event is free; Lost State of Franklin takes the stage at 6:30 p.m. (Jacob DeSmit)
