Dance Theatre of Harlem
Since it was founded in 1969 by Arthur Mitchell and Karel Shook, Dance Theatre of Harlem has earned a rep as “one of ballet’s most exciting undertakings," as the New York Times once put it. The group performs today at 3 and 7:30 p.m. at the Ohio Theatre; the performances will present a particularly timely message of "empowerment and beauty." Tickets are $25 to $45. (Niesel)
