Dan Rather

Veteran newsman Dan Rather has interviewed every president since Eisenhower. He's also covered events ranging from the Kennedy assassination to the Vietnam War, Watergate, Tiananmen Square, the fall of the Berlin Wall, 9/11 and the Iraq invasion. He's just published What Unites Us: Reflections on Patriotism, a new book of essays about "the toxic political atmosphere and polarized opinions of our times."
