Hear ye, hear ye: After a brief hiatus, the CPT Dark Room Series is back. It's the coolest open-mic- type event for writers and actors in the city. At a basic level, Dark Room is a workshop for emerging playwrights – where writers take center stage! — but fiction and poetry has a place here, too. Actors sign up to read segments of the works in development. Everyone mingles and listens and provides feedback and support, all with the liquid courage of free Magic Hat beer. If you're a writer or an actor, come at 7:15 p.m. to sign up (space is limited)! Otherwise, come at about 7:30 to socialize with really cordial theater avant-gardists and get an early glimpse at the works-in-progress of some of Cleveland's most inventive writers. The event takes place at CPT's Parish Hall, just east of the Gordon Square Theatre Box Office. (Sam Allard)
