Controlled Abandon Opening Reception

In this latest art exhibit, local artist and writer Shawn Mishak deconstructs metropolitan ruins of dilapidated infrastructure of Midwestern cities such as Cleveland, Columbus and Detroit. He applies a point-and-shoot methodology to the urban landscape, abstracting the subject matter framing his photographs in a way that "distills" them. An opening reception for the exhibit takes place from 6 to 10 tonight at Doubting Thomas Gallery.
