Cinema at the Square

Warm up those pipes, pull out the hankies, and prepare to make like Tony and Maria at tonight's sing-along screening of West Side Story at the Palace Theatre. Projected onto the largest non-IMAX screen in Ohio, the film kicks off the 15th Annual Cinema at the Square series with style- including a chance to sip cocktails and nibble snacks at a pre-screening soiree for young professionals in the nearby Ohio Theatre. The 13-film series run through August 19, focusing on classics like Gone With the Wind and The Godfather. "It's more exciting to see a film on a huge screen in one of the most beautiful theaters in the city than on DVD at home," says spokesman Adam Miltmer. Admission to tonight's 6 p.m. party is free; your movie ticket will cost you $5 at the box office, by phone, or online, where you'll find the entire schedule.
